_Eastern Health Library Service_: Library PC Help

"User Profile" Error when logging in

It is normal for users to get an error message when logging in to a library PC saying that there is a problem with the User Profile.

If this error happens to you, usually it is because the PC's storage is full and can't allow any new people to log in. This happens because the computers are used by many different people and each user profile takes up space on the computer.

If this happens, try a different PC and let the library staff know about the full PC in person or via email at ehls@easternhealth.org.au. If we know the PC is full, we can arrange for IT to clear the storage, so the PC is usable again.

EMR Access

If your staff account has access to EMR at Eastern Health, you can access it on any Eastern Health computer (including the library PCs) through Eastern Connect (the Eastern Health intranet).

When you open the Edge web browser on any of the library computers, it should automatically open Eastern Connect. Using the top menu, and find it in Apps -> Applications A-I -> EMR/i.PM.

No Desktop Word/Powerpoint/Excel

If you are a clinical staff member at EH, you may find when you attempt to open the desktop apps for Word, Powerpoint or Excel that you get a error and can't use them.

This is because Eastern Health switched to Microsoft 365 in 2024, and as a part of this change clinical staff were given online-only access to Microsoft applications. This is based on the user account and is not a problem with the computer itself.

If you need access to Word, Powerpoint. Excel, you can use them through your browser. On Eastern Connect you can access these apps by clicking the dots in the top left corner.

Library Printer

Library printer access is available at Box Hill Hospital Library, in black and white only.

Prints cost 15c per sheet of paper (including both sides) and must be paid in cash at the library desk.

How to connect the library printer

1. First check to see if the printer (Arnold_Library_L03) is already connected. It may appear as the default printer option when you go to print a document.

2. If it doesn't appear as the first option, check the list of printers. You can get the computer to scan for other printers by clicking "Refresh".

3. If it doesn't appear, then click "My printer isn't listed". This brings up the Add Printer menu. You can use the "Add a printer using IP address" using the IP address on the printer (look for the label under the name of the printer).

Other IT Issues

If the problem you have isn't listed on this page, you will need to contact IT directly for help.

If you have access to Eastern Connect (EH Intranet) on your device then you can log a request with EH Assist (this link will only work if you are signed in to Microsoft 365).

If you don't have access to EH Assist and you need urgent help, the IT Helpdesk can be contacted at 9092 6700
