Register for library services

To borrow materials from the Eastern Health Library Service, Eastern Health staff are required to register as a borrower.

• Full contact details, including employee number, name, email and a contact number must be supplied on the registration form.
• 4 items maximum may be on loan at any one time.
• Borrowing period is 3 weeks.
• Books may be renewed once for another three weeks.
• Library clients with overdue materials may have their borrowing privileges suspended.
• Registered borrowers agree to pay for the replacement of any item lost or damaged while on loan.
• A non-refundable administration fee may be charged by EHLS for the loss, damage or non-return of any item.

Register for library services

To borrow materials from the Eastern Health Library Service, students on placement at Eastern Health campuses are required to register as a borrower.

• Full contact details, including student number, name, email and a contact number must be supplied on the registration form.
• 4 items maximum may be on loan at any one time.
• Borrowing period is 3 weeks.
• Items cannot be renewed.
• The Library reserves the right to refuse to lend items to defaulting borrowers.
• EHLS has agreements in place with universities to ensure that overdue EHLS library materials on loan to students are returned.
• Registered borrowers agree to pay for the replacement of any item lost or damaged while on loan.
• A non-refundable administration fee may be charged by EHLS for the loss, damage or non-return of any item.

Eastern Health Mental Health staff are eligible for membership of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Health Sciences Library (incorporating the Victorian Mental Health Library).

The RMH Health Science Library receives recurrent funding from the Department of Human Services to supply a statewide library service for the purpose of supporting mental health staff employed across a wide range of positions.
