Wifi Connection for Eastern Health Staff

Eastern Health staff can use computers for staff at the Library. To log on, using your Eastern Health IT login. For requesting an electronic devices that can be connected to Eastern Health network, please visit Eastern Health ICT page (the page is available within Eastern Health network) for details.




Wifi connection for students on placement at Eastern Health

University students on placement at Eastern Health are able to connect to Internet at various locations across Eastern Health via the Wi-Fi network. Please note that coverage is not complete.

When you bring your portable device on-site, look for the the network: Eduroam.

Steps to connect to wifi (Monash University Students)

When you bring your portable device on-site, look for the Eduroam signal and, when prompted, insert your details as follows: username@student.monash.edu – this is your Monash email address.

If access is not granted, please phone Monash IT: 9903-2777 for advice. They might require you to take your device to Monash at Clayton to be configured for access.

If you were previously connected to eduroam, you'll need to select it in your wifi settings and choose Forget network before following the steps below.

  1. From your wi-fi settings, select the network name Eduroam
  2. Enter your Monash email addrress as your username

                              Staff example: firstname.lastname@monash.edu

                              Student example: username@student.monash.edu

         3. Enter your Monash account password

          4. If you're asked for:

  •     Certificate(s): only trust a certificate signed by QuoVadis Certificate Authority
  • EAP (if prompted): PEAP
  • Phase 2 Authentication (if prompted): none.

Steps to connect to wifi (Deakin Students)

It is possible to set up the connection to Eduroam while you are away from Deakin, allowing you to access eduroam at participating locations.

See the following instructions for eduroam set-up.

iOS/iPhone
  1. Select Eduroam from available networks
  2. Enter Deakin username as <deakinusername>@deakin.edu.au
  3. Enter Deakin password
  4. Select Trust on top right.
MacOS
  1. Select Eduroam from available networks
  2. Enter Deakin username as deakinusername@deakin.edu.au
  3. Enter Deakin password
  4. Select your keychain/mac password when prompted and select Continue.
Android
  1. Select Eduroam from available networks
  2. Select EAP method: PEAP
  3. Select Phase 2 authentication : MSCHAPV2
  4. Select CA certificate : Don't validate
  5. Enter Identity as <deakinusername>@deakin.edu.au
  6. Enter Deakin password
  7. Select Connect.
Windows
  1. Select Eduroam from available networks
  2. Enter Deakin username: deakinusername@deakin.edu.au
  3. Enter Deakin password
  4. Select "Connect again".
