Intertek Inform: Australian and International Standards: Home

Intertek Inform logo

Intertek Inform (formally known as SAI Global) allows Eastern Health employees to search across Australian and International Standards by their Standard number or title. It provides immediate access to subscribed Standards. Access to Standards not currently included in Eastern Health's subscription can be purchased by authorised users.

Step-by-step guidance on accessing Intertek Inform, and on how to search, download and order the Standards is provided below:

As of December 2023, access to Standards has changed. All users must register for an account before browsing and viewing standards. Once you have registered you can access Intertek Inform (formally SAI Global) from any computer, including outside the Eastern Health network.

How to Access Standards:

To browse standards and access Intertek Inform you first need to register using the Registration form.

After registering, you can access Intertek Inform via this link.

If you are outside Eastern Health network, please login to Citrix first before you search this page and click the above link via your remote desktop @Citrix.

Note: To setup your Citrix account, please approach Eastern Health IT via EH Assist when you are on site.

From the search page:

1. Type in either the number of the Standard (e.g.: AS ISO 15189-2013) required OR part of the title (e.g: Medical laboratories - Requirements for quality and competence).

2. Click ‘Search’.

You can also browse collections to see Australian or International Standards. First click on the "Collections" tab at the top, and then use the "My Collections" filters to choose the collection/s you want.

The Search results will then be appearing under the Search box.

Scenario 1.  The Standard is available for either Download or View Online

Click on the standard to view the options associated with the standard.

For most Standards you will have the option to either view online or download.

Note: Only one of those options can be selected in each session. For example, if after viewing a Standard online you decide to download a copy, it will be necessary to re-visit / re-fresh the page before you can proceed with downloading.

Clicking on View Online (Citrix environment-friendly option) , you will be able to view the Standard online in your browser.

Clicking on Download, a copy of the Standard will be downloaded to your computer.

Note: each downloaded copy is encoded with a predetermined expiry date. After this expiry date, the Standard will no longer be accessible. You do not have the option to download another copy to your computer.

Note: To view any downloaded Standard (both Australian and International standard), you must have the FileOpen plugin installed on your device. See below for instructions on obtaining this plugin: (The plugin is not required to view international standards)
